ANZAC DAY 2015: 100 YEARS OF REMEMBERING GALLIPOLI
This year's ANZAC commemorations marked the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign in WW1.
It also marked a special occasion for Te Poho o Rawiri Marae, whose annual ANZAC service and breakfast once again drew a strong crowd.
The service was led by Te Pihopa o Aotearoa, W. Brown Turei to a crowd of returned servicemen, dignitaries, young cadets, whanau, pepi - a wide gathering of the community.
It was also a nostalgic moment with the current wharekai building of Te Poho o Hine i tuhia o te Rangi hosting its last ANZAC breakfast before redevelopment work is carried out.
